The Sports Bar at Grand Solmar en Los Cabos

The captains being missing from the resort is very noticeable… The service staff miss them and their management and leadership for sure. I think that upper management should consider the needs of the service staff and replace these positions immediately… there are staff that are ready to be captains, or certainly could be with a bit of guidance and training. Runolfo in the sports bar has been a captain in past experiences, and is certainly capable of leading the sports bar team. he has quality work ethic and personal skills that could certainly improve the overall operation and atmosphere within the sports bar. The staff there talks openly about the need for a captain… Ronolfo would be a good ambassador for the resort.

It’s a pity so much potential here with good management. There was miscommunication when the resort invited us to Owners Welcome Dinner and when we asked about the price the staff made the point that it was complementary “anything you want”. When I questioned the $150 bill the restaurant manager told me “why would it be free you saw the prices on the menu” that’s an exact quote. So be aware and Lesson learned silly me. Anyway, the sea bass dinner was very good prepared just right we both had it, excellent it it wasn’t for the unhappy ending. The sea bass plate was excellent it was one of the best at USD $39 a plate.
