This restaurant is clean, has fast and friendly service, and an extensive menu. The view of the Rio Grande is spectacular. A man was singing and playing a guitar. I enjoyed the House Margarita and five beef tacos. Best I have ever tasted! My husband said his chicken quesadillas and bottled Coke were delicious, as well. The margarita was almost as expensive as the tacos, but it did look large. The ice is made from purified water, so it’s safe. I highly recommend eating at this restaurant if you visit Mexico from the Boquillas port of entry in Big Bend National Park! (You have only one other restaurant to choose from.)
Good traditional Mexican food and excellent service in a clean and comfortable environment. They have a large balcony (partially covered) overlooking the Rio Grande as well as shaded seating on the street side. They can handle groups if you are coming to Boquillas with friends or family. Also, they have a rather extensive gift shop with genuine made in Mexico products.
14/04/2024: What a pleasant lunch on the other side of the border. The owner was very welcoming. The food was tasty. The price was affordable. A satisfactory lunch followed by a unique experience. Highly recommended.
27/02/2024: My son and I visited Boquillas del Carmen on our recent visit to Big Bend National Park. We ate lunch at Boquillas Restaurant. The service was very good and the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. The food was terrific. My son had the cheese enchiladas and really enjoyed them. I had the tacos with cabrito and they were very good. I had not had cabrito since I was in Peru years ago, and I thought it was very good. We also had a couple of Mexican Coca-Colas made with real sugar instead of corn syrup and they were good out of the glass bottles. We sat on the outdoor patio and ate our meal and enjoyed the atmosphere at Boquillas. I highly recommend Boquillas Restaurant.
