Made plans to meet a friend in front of Cactus Liquor shop. He was walking, so I grabbed a taxi expecting to just grab my friend and go! My taxi pulled into a spot between Cactus & Augie’s and we began our wait. Don’t remember what lame excuse I gave the driver, but probably told Him I was going into Augie’s to use the restroom. Barely inside the door, I hear several shoutouts from people who know me! As you can guess, I succumbed to the great Air Conditioning and the verbal attacks to buy a round. An hour and a half later, my friend called to say he arrived, an hour ago, saw me at Augie’s bar through the window, decided to use the taxi to run a few errands, and was now back to pick me up to attend the event we had planned for. Most expensive beer I ever drank, but we’ll worth the fun atmosphere you expect at a local tavern !! Be a good visitor, enjoy the break, relax!
