11/11/2023: We discovered Sur a Norte by chance, but enjoyed it so much, we dined there twice. The seating on the beautiful outdoor terrace provides a fabulous view of Templo de Santo Domingo de Guzman. Because we enjoyed their Tacos Don Gober so much, we ordered them again on our second visit - my favourite taco during our 9 day visit to Oaxaca! The cocktails were amazing!!! We substituted Mezcal instead of Gin in their “Last Word” cocktail - it was perfect! Our server, Kevin, was wonderful - he was very pleasant, and was extremely helpful and patient with our inability to speak Spanish. The bartender, Gueldany, was also very friendly and accommodating, and does an excellent job mixing drinks. Muchas Gracias!!
