Las tostadas estan de lujo. No es todos los dias que ves un@ chef que logra mesclar sabores y texturas con tan perfecto balance.
Toma mi dinero y dame de comer!

Antonio neighborhood...with great strong coffee and simple good food. The owner wrote two books, one with recipes from the restaurant, and the other giving voice to people we never hear from in San Miguel de Allende. You're welcome to peruse these books while you're there--overall a lovely experience.

02/07/2024: La comida súper deliciosa! Y recomiendo aquí el mojito! Empezando y terminamos nuestra visita aquí. Aparte de la comida otra razón q uni tiene q visitar s x la vista de todo San Miguel desde la terraza q es increíble.
12/06/2024: Tiene una vista bellísima! Sin duda volvería a regresar, me sentí muy a gusto. Tanto en el día como en la noche, se ve súper bien!

11/06/2024: Bonito lugar, hermosa vista de la ciudad y de la catedral, comida deliciosa!
28/03/2024: Pedí bistec “vacío” y recibí un corte diferente (más parecido a cecina) que es muuuucho más barato. La calidad era mala y el punto de cocción no era el que pedí.
El techo es genial, pero el calor es insoportable alrededor de las 17:00 h. El servicio es malo ya que solo hay dos camareras y su actitud es muy deficiente. Incluso venden arte, lo cual es de mal gusto; no es coincidencia. Palabras que describen mi experiencia: cara, estafa, mal servicio y superficial.

Nirvana Restaurant and Retreat

19/03/2024: La verdad salí súper desilusionada , Nirvana es un lugar que visitamos al menos una vez al año (el restaurante) desde hace poco más de 10 años
La comida en general es buena , sin embargo en esta ocasión la comida dejó algo que desear y el servicio terrible
Otro detalle es que vimos muy descuidado todo, los sillones de las mesas sucios, el baño de mujeres del jardín súper sucio y en malas condiciones , entre otros detalles …
La verdad es que creo que no volveremos, es una lástima que un lugar que era muy bueno haya caído en su calidad en general
11/03/2024: Came out for a three night get away with a friend. On the plus side: good beds and bedding, very spacious and comfortable suite, nice deep bathtub and plenty of hot water, dog friendly, warm and welcoming hosts- went the extra mile to return a knapsack and a dog toy that I had left behind. The outdoor seating for the restaurant is lovely. Excellent housekeeping. Our suite was cleaned while we were at breakfast without fail. Very pleasant landscape and I loved watching the horses and donkeys grazing happily on the sweet smelling alfalfa. The hot spring fed pool is delightful and was the highlight of our stay. The spa services while pleasant were nothing special.
On the negative side: inescapable piped in music in the restaurant and pool areas. Top 40 hits from the 80’s which were too loud and intrusive for me. In my opinion not harmonious with the surroundings.
The food is mediocre and the coffee barely drinkable. One waiter was a tad surly when I sent back a steak which I had ordered medium rare and received blue, arguing that it was medium rare. The food aims for haute cuisine but doesn’t deliver. Best to stick to the simpler preparations. While presenting itself as a destination dining experience, there are far better restaurants in San Miguel.

09/07/2024: Ambiente bohemio total. Mucha diversión y baile cuando hay música en vivo. Las bebidas estaban deliciosas y el plato de hummus estaba muy bueno.
24/06/2024: Vinimos a escuchar la increíble música para una recaudación de fondos... Más de 20 bandas, cantantes y bailarines actuaron para ayudar al propietario con los gastos médicos.

18/03/2024: El café es estupendo, no dejen de probar la mermelada d jamaica con pan caliente y mantequilla que te sirven apenas llegando. Su cocina es muy buena en general y la decoración ecléctica y original crea una atmosfera cómoda y única, los precios son un poco elevados pero yo siempre regreso al Rama. El servicio puede mejorar.

Se tardan horas en traer la comida, la traen fría
Creo que hay lugares que valen mucho más la pena
13/07/2024: Las entradas tardaron 2 horas en llegar. Para este punto estábamos bastante enfadados con el pésimo servicio y decidimos cancelar la comida, pero en ese momento llego, y para la sorpresa de nadie, llego fría, y cruda. Pésimo restaurante, tuve experiencia horrible, y aparte cuando pedí la cuenta, me quisieron cobrar cosas que no había pedido. NUNCA VAYAN AQUÍ.

09/10/2023: I've always enjoyed this spot in at Fabrica La Aurora and generally spend a day each trip checking out the art and having lunch at one of the eateries. Food Factory is a favorite for sandwiches at lunch time. Friendly staff, good food.

04/11/2023: Aperi is often mentioned as one of the best restaurants in San Miguel.I would say it is a nice restaurant with a very nice atmosphere but not one of the best restaurants.
The restaurant is within a hotel, it has a nice patio and some nice dining rooms. It is really a nice atmosphere. Staff is friendly but sometimes a bit slow. Food is ok, but nothing to write home about. We had the tasting menu, all dishes were ok but none was excellent. The have a good wine selection.
If you look for a nice atmosphere I can recommend this restaurant.
12/10/2023: Fabulous but very expensive experiencia. 8 delicious courses of perfectly presented and prepared food. It was wonderful!!
