Los mejores restaurantes de cocina mexicana en Puerto Morelos

31/03/2024: ¡Qué pequeño lugar tan mágico, desde el paisaje hasta las habitaciones decoradas individualmente y el personal que se siente como en familia! Admito que no habría visitado esta propiedad porque pensé que la tarifa por noche era demasiado para la clasificación de estrellas, pero fue muy recomendable y realmente necesitaba un lugar. ¡Qué agradecido estoy! Descubrí que con esta propiedad es mejor reservar directamente, tarifas mucho mejores. También puedes llamar si tienes dudas y siempre responden (no siempre es el caso de los hoteles en esta parte de México, según mi experiencia). Personal excepcional. ¡No sólo algunos de ellos, todos ellos! Algunos miembros del personal hablan inglés con fluidez y otros hablan lo suficiente como para que no haya problemas de comunicación. Todos fueron increíblemente serviciales. Necesitas algo, sólo pídelo. ¿Masajes, lavandería, alquiler de bicicletas? Hecho. ¡Absolutamente personal de 5 estrellas! No se puede pedir una mejor ubicación. A solo un par de cuadras de todo (mercado, plaza, playa y taxis). Sales a la calle que está cerrada todas las noches y se convierte en una calle peatonal para que todos los increíbles restaurantes puedan tener asientos al aire libre. Muchas luces, música, grandes aromas. Las habitaciones tienen mucha luz y ventanas grandes (muchas habitaciones con múltiples ventanas), son limpias, cómodas y todo funciona. Hay mucha agua tibia (incluso caliente) con suficiente presión de agua. Supuse que estar en medio de toda la acción ese sonido sería un problema. Sorprendentemente, no hay ningún problema. A menos, por supuesto, que tuviera todas las ventanas abiertas y disfrutara de la brisa cruzada y, por la noche, la música en vivo fue solo una ventaja. El desayuno incluido siempre fue delicioso e incluía comida caliente, fruta fresca, café, jugo fresco, etc. El paisaje es exuberante, hermoso y bien cuidado, al igual que la piscina, que tiene una fuente que es como música para mis oídos. Muy relajado. Internet funcionó bien para todas mis necesidades de transmisión y de trabajo. Me he alojado con ella más de una vez, en más de una habitación, y volveré. Realmente es mi hotel favorito en México, ¡mi hogar lejos del hogar!

15/03/2024: Alojamiento en escala después de 11 horas de vuelo. En el hotel debajo de nuestra ventana, al lado de la piscina, la gente charlaba en español con música muy alta hasta las 3 a.m. a pesar de que les pedimos que bajaran el volumen. Sábanas sucias, sin aparcamiento real (vehículo estacionado frente al hotel en la calle), desayuno pobre… para evitar

24/11/2023: La verdad que fue muy desagradable, el caldo de la birria estaba tibio, los chicos que atendían del asco. Nos hicieron caras cada que pedíamos algo y al final, todavía no esperaban a que nos fuéramos cuando groseramente fueron a limpiar la mesa y aventaron a mi amigo para poder pasar el trapo, siempre digo que aunque el lugar tenga la mejor comida, si el servicio es malo jamás regreso. El dueño debería poner más énfasis en contratar a su personal que sea amable, los chicos eran 2 chicas y un chavo que a mi parecer eran de Chiapas y no lo digo por discriminación o despectivamente, pero a veces por pagar sueldos menores contratan gente poco amable que hacen perder clientes a sus negocios.

07/08/2023: Hoy mi hijo y yo comimos aquí mientras esperábamos que registraran nuestro ciclomotor y fue increíble. En serio, la mejor Birria que he probado. ¡La salsa con habanero estuvo increíble! Habría comprado botellas. ¡Muchas gracias!

14/04/2024: Excelentes desayunos, buenas porciones, muy buen servicio y atención, precios razonables, agradable ambiente. El café es orgánico (refill), el pan muy rico, lo hacen alli mismo, se ven los hornos. Nos habían sugerido el restaurante de enfrente y por error fuimos a este, pero no nos arrepentimos, al contrario fue afortunada la equivocación. Regresaremos =]

17/03/2024: There's usually a lineup by 9am, so arrive early. They open at 7:30 every day except Tuesday, when they're closed (don't believe the Open Daily sign out front). The narrow front area by the bakery is misleading; that section opens into a colourful and spacious courtyard with murals and greenery. You want to sit there if you can. My husband likes the eggs Benny and omelette, but my fave is the vegan version of the Al Mucho Gusto. It's a standout plate that includes avocado, sautéed spinach, fried tomato, potatoes, a slice of their house-made bread and some other goodies I can't recall. Hands down the best bet for a vegan breakfast in PM. Friendly and efficient wait staff. Definitely family friendly, as there's a play area at the back.

15/03/2024: We went for dinner as a group of 6, David seated us quickly saying it was going to soon get very busy. They were completely out of chicken which just forced some in our group to step outside their comfort zone, the shrimp was a great alternative with great flavors in all of our dishes. It was a meal that we all agreed was one of the best we had all week in Puerto Morelos. Peanut Butter dessert shot is just a great little treat at the end of a meal.

11/03/2024: Considering this is the portside restaurant of chef Carla Roma, this does not meet the standard. We did have a nice time, our waiter David was terrific. He was friendly, helpful and talkative, so we really enjoyed his company. He made a suggestion of the fried tacos which are like flautas and the fish fajitas. The flautas were OK, not great, kind of lacking any flavor and the chicken was dry. The fish fajitas arrived in a mola ajete chopped up with veggies. My husband ate most of it because he was hungry, but said he really did not enjoy. It seemed more like a stew or a stir fry cooked too long. The fish did not have a fresh flavor, "fishy". Despite a good time, very good service, we will not return. Prices have gotten too high for not great food.

23/02/2024: After wandering around Puerto looking for somewhere to eat, we came across Pangea again. We've eaten here at night some time back, which was lovely with the lights and breeze but they had discontinued nighttime service on this trip. We thought they had closed but we were pleased to see they were still open for lunch. Perhaps there are new owners now? And maybe they'll serve dinner again soon? Great food and overlooking the sea with a great breeze was very pleasant. The food was good and not too expensive.

15/08/2023: Es un buen lugar para ir por unos drinks con los amigos, el ambiente es bueno y tiene comida como papas, hamburguesas. La atención fue buena y rápida y los precios son aceptables..

28/03/2024: Les meilleurs tacos du village....allez au numéro 1 , le patron vous accueillera avec ses recettes délicieuses de fruits de mer et poisson du port . Les margaritas sont excellentes aussi et une mention spéciale pour le mezcal du patron ...je recommande fortement ce restaurant

03/03/2024: Lamentablemente tengo que darles una mala reseña, 2/10. El burrito no era un burrito, era extremadamente pequeño y el precio era el mismo que en todos lados. Adjunto foto del burrito. A mí no me parece un burrito... Y eso me costó 130 pesos.... El servicio fue bueno.

04/04/2024: It used to be my favorite restaurant in Puerto Morelos, and I guess it changed ownership, and became something shady. They sell everything by kilogram, so you don’t know what the total of what you are ordering is going to be, but the server said about $7 Dlls ($150 pesos) for one taco, but maybe a little bit more. They have a long list of sea food priced by kilogram, and then they have a list of possible ways to cook it/ or prepare it. I was not in the mood on playing to be a Chef, so we just ordered twi drinks, and a glass of water. When I got the bill they charged me $200 pesos for the glass of water, they did not even bring the bottle. They should had explained how their unusual system worked up front, because I asked to see the menu before I sat on my table. And they just showed us a big board without mentioning a word. I didn’t even argue, I just paid the bill and left. If you like the guessing game, playing the chef, and potentially be overcharged, this is your place !

29/03/2024: We have had lunch here twice and both times were excellent. Great view, service and food. We haven’t had dinner here but would imagine it’s great. It’s definitely top of the line in Puerto Morales.

12/11/2023: Popped in while visiting the local town. Had a lovely fresh lunch where the fish tasted like it had just been caught. Staff very friendly and nice relaxing atmosphere looking out to the sea. Had a couple of pina coladas which hit the spot. Not super strong but just what we needed with the meal.

30/10/2023: Friends shopping afternoon with lunch in Puerto Morolis. We left our resort to get some souvenirs & had a nice lunch on beach. Good margaritas!

07/03/2024: Great happy hour, good food, best prices! It's been in puerto morelos for years It's a landmark, will be so sad to see it close at the end of the month.

04/03/2024: We should have known better. Ate here a couple of years ago and were disappointed but decided to give it another try. Upon sitting down I ordered a margarita, and my husband ordered a mojito. We hadn't picked up our menus and didn't know they were the two for one specials. When I took my first drink all I could taste was water. We didn't have any silverware or a straw so I couldn't stir the drink. Took about 10 minutes to get our server's attention, and he brought silverware. I stirred the drink, and then I could taste some of the margarita mix. It was so weak that I question whether or not there was a single drop of tequila in it. It was so bad that I didn't want the second of the 2 for 1. Husband's mojito was not much better. When paying our check the server asked how everything was, and I said I did not like the margarita. He immediately knew and said, "Not strong enough?" He then went on to say we should come when he is bartending because he makes them stronger than the person currently tending the bar. If I'm going to pay 150 pesos for a margarita I'd rather have one good margarita than two really awful drinks. Moral of the story, at this restaurant get a bottle of beer not a cocktail. The food was decent. Guacamole was a very large serving, enough to take leftovers home for next day's lunch. Server was nice. It is always fun to sit at a table on the street and people watch. Will not be returning a third time.
