12/10/2023: Went here for lunch, with friends. I told the waiter many times I was vegan, so no seafood, cheese etc. We ordered bowls, and mine had fake crab meat in it, so I returned it and asked for another one without crab. They picked out the crab, and returned the same dish to me…and it still had pieces of crabmeat in the bowl. They would not exchange it. We told the waiter, that we would not pay for the meal, and the chef Santos came out and told us they would not exchange the bowl, and that we had to pay. I didn’t even eat any of the food, on my plate. We left, but chef Santos was really rude- he should not deal with the public- maybe he should pay more attention to keeping this place clean , it is dirty. Chef Santos even threatened to call the police! This place tries to cut corners at the expense of the customer. It’s really a shame to treat customers like this.

10/03/2024: Great food. We sat with a family that had small children at the tepenyanki service, our cook if you will was very willing to work with the family as their small boy was afraid of the fire.

29/02/2024: This restaurant requires a reservation even though it is part of the all-inclusive of the hotel. All the food we tried was great. Don't be shy and order because portions are small. The service is great and the drinks are amazing. Definitely try this restaurant.

24/12/2023: Usualmente no escribo review para ningun restaurante, esta ves lo siento necesario, la peor cena en toda la cadena! Los rollos estaban horribles,ordene un california roll con tampico y casualmente no tenia queso crema le comente al mesero y me salió con su MAMADA de que el de tampico no llevaba queso crema (en el menu dice que SI) le dije que ya no lo queria y ahuevo me lo puso para llevar! Tambien ordene el rollo de salmon bqq y Asqueroso! Estaba bañado en salsa bqq aguadicima la salsa. De cuenta pague $700 y la verdad jamas me habia dolido pagar hasta el dia de ayer Sadado que realmente no valio la pena cenar en esta sucursal.

06/09/2023: brilliant place to try a different type of food/culture. as never had this sort of food before the waiters were very helpful in to know what to order. my family had the chefs tasting mixture which is perfect for first timers or struggling what to pick off the menu. presentation was amazing too I RECOMMEND!!

22/07/2023: By far one of the best restaurants we ve been to in the Asian category this year! An invitation to the Michelin jury would be the next step to give this staff the respect they deserve. Best fusion between Asian and Mexican cuisine that you could find in the market ! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

06/12/2023: The rice bowl and miso were good, and the rolls themselves were fine, but the order took twice as long as it said it would to pick up. Every single roll not only had cream cheese inside of it, but also spread on top... even the ones that didn't say they had cream cheese. If you like a lot of cream cheese, go here.

21/08/2023: La comida es muy buena, comimos unos rollos deliciosos. Las meseras son muy amables, te preguntan si tienes alergias, te dan recomendaciones. El ambiente es muy bonito. Buen lugar para cenar.

30/07/2023: Honestly fantastic. The service is impeccable. The food is out of this world good. The first time my wife and I got the 2 for 1 sushi rolls and drinks. The second time we got poki bowls. The third time we got poki bowls again but also got the most delicious desert. The tempura cookies are amazing and the ice cream that is with them completely compliments them. Our servers name was Selene and she remembered what we ordered each time and what drinks we liked. We loved our experience and wish we lived here so we could eat here every day. Just be careful. Once you eat here once you may eat here for life and gain 500 pounds. It’s amazing. Honestamente fantástico. El servicio es impecable. La comida está fuera de este mundo bueno. La primera vez que mi esposa y yo obtuvimos los rollos de sushi y las bebidas 2 por 1. La segunda vez obtuvimos poki bowls. La tercera vez volvimos a tener poki bowls, pero también obtuvimos el postre más delicioso. Las galletas tempura son increíbles y el helado que las acompaña las complementa por completo. El nombre de nuestros servidores era Selene y ella recordaba lo que pedimos cada vez y qué bebidas nos gustaban. Nos encantó nuestra experiencia y deseamos vivir aquí para poder comer aquí todos los días. Sólo sé cuidadoso. Una vez que coma aquí, puede comer aquí de por vida y ganar 500 libras. Es asombroso.

17/12/2023: Again, let’s start with the positive. The kitchen (visible from every seat) was beautifully clean. The hibachi chef was very friendly. That’s where the good ends. Service 1star. Good ZERO STARS. Between over cooking, forgetting items and what could only be considered grade G food this is a no-go. For resort food, it just plain sucked.

22/10/2023: We got to eat here when staying at the Barcelo Resort and we are so glad we went. Another couple recommended it and we loved it! Great show, GREAT waitress, and even great food. Definitely recommend!

18/09/2023: El concepto de un restaurante japonés “YAKISHIMA” dentro del hotel es genial, sin embargo, las porciones de los platillos son pequeñas, la oferta del menú no es muy grande, y finalmente el sabor de los platillos si deja algo que desear así como el tiempo en que te sirven cada platillo entre un tiempo y otro.

15/01/2024: We had such a great time! Food was great and Mario, our chef, was so much fun! He made sure everyone in our group was included and kept the kids and adults entertained.
