22/01/2024: Who would expect to find a great Italian restaurant in the heart of Mexico? It was a glad surprise and we were delighted when a long term ex-pat recommended we try it. The menu has a lot of good choices and combinations, our starter was a stuffed Portobello mushroom, delicioso! Wine and beer choices are good too. Go see and taste for yourself, north of San Miguel on the Dolores Hildago, highway No, 51 about 5 miles, behind La Burger just 100 meters on a little dirt road with good parking.

03/05/2024: El lugar es hermoso, la comida deliciosa, el personal muy amable , el tiempo de preparación estupendo, las promociones excelentes, acabamos de celebrar un cumpleaños ahí y todo perfecto. Es pet friendly ( en mi caso eso hace un plus y que vaya muy seguido) así que puedes llevar a tu mejor amigo y disfrutar de una deliciosa comida. Es de lo mejor este restaurante.

10/08/2024: I was here 2 years ago and the service and food was good. Now 2 years later the service was adequate and the pasta was terrible. I gave this place an excellent review 2 years ago, but not now. Same waiter, but seemed unhappy. The owner was much more personable two years ago. Now he was silent and not friendly. You can check my previous review, which was glowing. Now the pasta was like pesto paste and way too much salt. I will never come here again. My pesto out of a jar at home is much better than this. The owner came to my table to remove a few dishes and did not ask if I enjoyed my meal? Yet a couple he must have known he was very pleasant to them. I live in Mexico, but know good Italian from around the world and this was not. I have traveled the world and have written many reviews and this place has fallen to the bottom. They wonder why they will join a long line of empty storefronts.

12/06/2023: If you want an authentic Italian dining experience this is the only place to go. The dining room is right out of a local Italian Trattoria in Italy. Perfect low key feel, great music and great service. My waiter was very professional and confident. The menu was great with much to choose from, and the prices were really fair for the amazing quality of the food and presentation. I had the house salad, which was crisp and great dressing. The presentation was perfect. I ordered a glass of Tinto wine and served the way red wine should be. I ordered the spaghetti and when I saw the red sauce and I knew this was going to be a taste treat. Tasty, rich and hot with fresh parmesan cheese. Wow! I have traveled the world and this treasure is the perfect place for ambience, service, food quality and price. I’ve included some photo’s. Oh yeah the pizza looked amazing and it is on my list for my next visit. It’s located down by the Teleferico and close to the flower market. I live in another town nearby and travel in Mexico often and this Trattoria is the best probably in all of Mexico. Don’t miss this place as your taste buds will be more than happy, as will your wallet.
