Had a very nice lunch after renting ATVs in town. The classiest place I've ever eaten in Mexico. Fine dining at a reasonable price. I had the braised lamb and vegetable medley with an appetizer of French onion soup. Both were great, my friend got the chicken cordon Bleu on the recommendation on the waiter and that was also amazing. Also the food is great, but go for the view it is absolutely breath taking.

This is very solid luxury boutique hotel. And when you consider the remote location, it is phenomenal gem to find. Let’s dig into why one should come to this hotel and then why one should explore San Sebastián del Oeste. The hotel is at the entrance to the town, which one can see was at one time a wealthy community. The wide Main Street with 100+++ old trees and wide sidewalk scream opulence in the past. The hotel is perched over the valley below the town and has excellent views back toward the ocean/west. The grounds are spectacular with perfectly trimmed hedges, amazing collections of flowers and the scents of mesquite and flowers hit you as you walk to check in. Simply walking to check is confirmation enough that you made an excellent choice. The rooms are nicely appointed with a luxurious shower and fireplace. Be sure to ask the staff to start the fire for you at least an hour prior to when you want to enjoy it as the wood is damp and they have to use a couple Scout tricks to get the fire to roar. The king size bed is comfortable and the linens are top notch quality - not just clean, but excellent feel. Towels are solid, nothing super special, but they are cleaned with fabric softener, which some luxury hotels fail to use with their fine towels!!! I think the bed we had might be nearing the end of its life, but it was very comfortable and since hotels regularly change their beds, it is not for me to criticize a minor detail. The bed was 4.0/5.0 for me. Others may call it 5/5. The room is spacious and the photos on their website are exactly as the room is in reality. Are there a few scuffs, yes, but people stay in the room, it is not a museum! The view from the room is lovely, and since there were no robes, we chose to have our breakfast in the terrace off the dining room. For us, we made an excellent choice, but other May prefer to have bfast on their room terrace, which would be perfect as well. The restaurant is French and the execution is excellent. The breads are fresh, the soups are prepared expertly and the proteins are varied and the ones we had were excellent. The Chef of the day was a very capable young woman who was a pleasure to watch. The service is performed by two young men who are clearly expertly trained and speak passable restaurant English. Although the wine list is small, the wines were exactly within our palate and we had no need to yearn for our own wines at home. The town is lovely - clearly more investment is needed to bring it to “rustic chic” but, there is a lot of potential and clearly a lot of middle class Mexicans have discovered the town judging by the amount of modest but clean accommodations available. We did not have time to enjoy the small local restaurants, however, we did have a couple excellent cocktails at Jardin Nebulosa. Interestingly, they do not serve tequila only Raicilla - which makes for a whole new experience for cocktails and margaritas (the latter is a must have) The menu is eclectic Mexican and clearly a fab experience as the restaurant was filling up as we left. One last thing….and most important. There is a world class artisan chocolate factory in town. It is like someone from Swiss chocolatier moved their entire operations here in one piece. The Cacoa beans are from Tabasco, and the chocolate is literally some the best in the world.

El restaurante. Eso, la vista, la carta y cada uno de los alimentos. De lujo, un placer tener comida que lleva cada detalle planeado. Volvería 100% de las veces.
