Esta fue una elección increíble para nuestro día. Nos unimos a nuestro recorrido en Vallarta Adventures Nuevo Vallarta a las 2pm. El crucero fue encantador y, como siempre, el equipo brindó un excelente servicio al cliente. Una vez que llegamos a la playa privada, nos aseguraron nuestras mesas privadas para disfrutar de una hermosa comida de cinco platos acompañada de vinos. Disfruté cada plato y mi hijo adolescente también. Fue hermoso regresar a Nuevo Vallarta con el sol poniéndose. Nuestro recorrido terminó alrededor de las 8 p.m.
We took this excursion o couple of days before the end of our vacation. It looked like a great way to cap our visit to Puerto Vallarta. We arrived at the Maritime Terminal (cruise ship docks) to check in. Unlike a morning excursion the previous week, our boat was the only one loading up. So there were no dense crowds of tourists shuffling through the gate security. While we waited for the boading call, we met Moses, our concierge for the evening. He was recording our choices of main dish and showed us the menu for the dinner. By the end of the evening he would also earn the title "Herder of Cats". As we would all be in our cups, so to speak.
First thing boarding the sail rigged catamaran was to remove footwear and grab a life jacket. I went all the way to the bow then down the portside to sit somewhere cool and shady in the stern. My Sweety stopped at the bow to soak up some rays and fresh air. We got underway and the open bar started serving drinks to everyone. It was definitely a full boat but it did not feel crowded. We motored down past the Los Arcos marine park to the private beach where we would be served our dinner. Cue the herding of cats. The catamaran cannot dock because of the difference in its deck and the steel stairs on the dock. We were herded into a launch, which then motored to the dock and we climbed the stairs. Lots of people were reminded to watch their fingers. You don't want to put them between the two boats.
Upon successfully landing we were lead to an open dining area on the beach where there were tables with the reservation names on them. We were quite the varied group, from couples to groups of eight. There were a lot of wineglasses waiting. Four per diner. A birthday group beside us had a forest of crystal on their table. At this point we were introduced to our sommelier Abril. She took us on a trip involving individual wines and why they matched the particular course we were being served. She certainly loves her subject matter and was a big promoter of all grapes Mexican. We are not big red wine fans, but we did have at least a taste of each offering. We also had a liquer at the end to accompany the dessert of fried plantain with chocolate ice-cream and crumble. The optional main course we chose ribeye steak which was grilled perfectly. There was quite a bit of food and a lot of variety in the Mexican inspired gourmet food. Delicious! Thank you everyone for a great meal.
So after at least 5 courses and more than a few beverages it was back to Moses and his crew to herd a bunch of tipsy cats back to the dock, down the stairs, onto the launch and finally, our ride back to Puerto Vallarta. The boat made it out past the headland of the bay about 5 minutes after the sun had set. But there were still some nice colours in the evening sky. We turned and burned for the shore with Moses blaring tunes on the sound system and everyone drinking some more dessert. Fortunately, we docked with the same number of guests as we departed earlier and made our ways to our hotels via the overpriced cab waiting at the terminal. Thank you Moses and crew for a great dinner and cruise. Highly recommended.
The yacht ride and hospitality was fantastic! The dining experience far exceeded our expectations! The staff was very friendly and attentive! Abril was particularly fun, making our evening even better! The chef and staff prepared five courses of truly gourmet food and it was all excellent! I would HIGHLY recommend anyone to take this excursion!!
