Muy hermoso hotel histórico, el encanto de los hoteles antiguos del siglo pasado y muy bien ubicado (con vista al observatorio de Chichen Itzá); hermosa y grande piscina. Desgraciadamente, el hotel es muy antiguo y necesita una renovación: algunas aberturas sólo tienen persianas, por lo que se oye mucho ruido exterior, el aire acondicionado/ventilación hace mucho ruido y la ducha ya no tiene puerta de cristal.

Do NOT go to Chichén Itzá and not stay at the Mayaland Hotel. Worth every dime. Staff is 10 Star. Rooms are 10 Star. Restaurant 10 Star. Grounds and ruins, priceless in rating! Very Art Deco and secluded. The ruins across the way add a unique “aire of mystique”. Make purchases there in town (Pisté) to help support the locals - which are wonderful by the way. Would make a great honeymoon hotel. Beautiful. Hotel is a favorite of a lot of VIP’s as well. We prefer to stay there and COMMUTE to the beach!

This property is in a prime location (next to the ruin) and beautifully furnished. However, a few things have caused it to be less than a 5-star experience. In the website, there’s a hotel shuttle that can take you to the ruin from the front entrance (as the side entrance adjacent to the hotel is closed), but once we arrived, they told us they can sell us a package for 350 pesos each to take us to the front entrance with a lunch, and they refused to call us a taxi because “there isn’t any outside.” Note a taxi ride to the front entrance cost 100 pesos and that’s how we got to the hotel in the first place. Their service is not necessarily a bad deal but the fact they decided not to help after learning we didn’t have a car doesn’t feel very hospitable. Note you can walk a bit outside of the check point (about 50 feet away from the hotel) to hail a taxi as there’re a couple of hotels nearby and taxi comes by often to drop people off. The room we got was very nice and has a nice view to the ruin (especially from the bathroom). Bear in mind there are a few flies hanging in there but this is normal for a tropical place, especially since there’s not a screen door to the balcony. We took a walk in the hotel which is quite expansive and have a lot of activities. Though a lot of them are not open. This is possibly due to holidays—we were there on Christmas, or maybe they have not fully recovered from pandemic. It does seem like they have ambitious plans but currently maybe more cost conscious and are focusing on things that would generate more revenue. The breakfast was tasty and reasonably priced (240/person) for a platter of omelet, fruits, bread and coffee/juice. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would return in the future.

Este lugar es parte de la historia, cada vez que queremos visitar la zona arqueológica llegamos a hospedarnos aquí. Se piensa que el arqueólogo Sylvanus Morley se hospedó en este lugar para seguir con sus trabajos de arqueología. Llegamos a este lugar porque ya lo conocemos de varios años antes que visitamos Chichén Itzá. Dejamos el coche aquí, muy seguro, pedimos un guía: el sr. Viviano, y entramos a la zona arqueológica. Un paseo de dos horas, terminando y regresamos al hotel, que ofrece un bufete típico del lugar; la comida estuvo deliciosa. Gracias por prepararme una Margarita cómo se las pedí, fue muy refrescante. Este hotel es muy bonito, tiene vistas muy hermosas; a la distancia se puede apreciar el observatorio maya. Aquí se han hospedado muchas personas famosas como JLo, Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, Los reyes de Mónaco Reinero y Grace Kelly, los emperadores de China y otros no tan conocidos como Andres Manuel Lopez (AMLO). Recomiendo un tour y después la comida y contratar guía. Y si tienes tiempo quédate en este hotel. No te cansarás tanto. A todo el personal les agradecemos su hospitalidad y amabilidad.

Amo este hotel, te relaja, rodeado de naturaleza, es realmente un hermoso lugar.

Muy buen hotel, ubicado a pocos metros de las ruinas (no se puede ir caminando hasta ellas). Construcción como una hacienda, precioso. Tiene habitaciones que miran a la pirámide y otras al observatorio. Cuenta con un restaurante donde poder cenar, un menú de sopa y a elegir 3 platos, se come bien.

Te llevan y te traen a chichen desde su entrada, al comprar su tour $622 por persona en 2023 te incluye la entrada, y comida 3 tiempos, puedes dejar tu vehículo en su estacionamiento, al regresar te esperan en su restaurante del hotel con su platillo de 3 tiempos. Muy recomendable👍

Got offered this package while following the Chichén Itzá GPS. They charged me $60 per person for a ride to the front of the entrance of Chichén Itzá. And access to this facility. Access: the pool was nice. Shaded half the pool with a tree. Little bit of trash. No people at all the time we went Food: was great! Cochinita pibil and chicken fajitas were on point and fresh. Authentic food.
