La Nueva Posada en Chapala

Comida deliciosa. Buen ambiente. Agradable cena al aire libre en su hermoso patio con vistas al lago.

La vista es increíble... La arquitectura es hermosa. Comida UNA ESTRELLA. Simplemente POBRE.

Somos una buena experiencia, volveremos.

We spent 6 nights at this charming posada in the shore of Lake Chapala. However, it was 47 steps up to our room and we were required to switch rooms for our last night. The first room was very comfortable with two queen sized beds with memory foam mattresses and comfortable pillows. The last night was in a king sized bed with pillows a giraffe would have had issues with. The bathrooms were excellent, clean and had hot water whenever we needed it, and the cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful , especially while my wife was unwell for 48 hours. Breakfast didn't begin until 9.00 - the garden was delightful with a view of Lake Chapala. The presentation of the food was mundane and the quality of mostly North American style food was only tolerable. Some of the servers were wonderful. The restaurant then closed at 5.00 which isn't a time when most tourists are ready to eat, so we were forced to leave in search of restaurants which, fortunately, were in abundance and of outstanding quality. There were plenty of returning expats staying there and the owner is a Vancouver Island gringo who found the good life and has many stories to tell.

No nos hemos alojado en el hotel pero hemos recibido críticas de amigos. Tienen una HERMOSA zona de escalones que conduce a las habitaciones de arriba y que es impresionante. Vamos al bar del hotel/restaurante todas las tardes a tomar unas copas en su impresionante patio exterior. Es TAN hermoso y tranquilo y su personal de servicio es lo mejor. No podemos decirle cuánto disfrutamos de este lugar, nuestro bar y descanso favorito en la ciudad. ¡Su guacamole es para morirse! Es picante con toques de limón, especias y lima. Una buena ración saludable.

Locale carino nel centro di Ajijic. Con la famiglia abbiamo pranzato nel giardino, veramente bello. Molto adatto se si hanno bambini. La cucina direi normale, niente di eccezionale o di cattivo, nella norma direi. Personale gentile, prezzi medi.

Beautiful garden setting right at the lake. Excellent fish and chips and fish tacos!
