24/03/2024: Everyone has written such exact superlatives of this restaurant that I'm not sure what I can even add, but Cenzontle is such a great place that I must add my compliments! Yes, the owners are wonderful, friendly, thoughtful and fun. And all this while doing all the work themselves - cooking, serving, chatting, making all us diners have fun - while running up and down the stairs endless times a meal. Ah, here's what I can add - we are both vegetarians, and those burgers are excellent too! Actually, though we ate at Cenzontle 3 times in the week we in Mazunte, we only tried 2 of the burger options because once I ate the quesillo I was hooked. The aguacate is good too, and I bet the rest of them are as well. The service is so personal, and Roberto remembers everything, what we liked to drink, even where we sat before. I should also mention the chips. The chips are the best, and every meal I'd wish I had more of them even though I was stuffed by the end of my burger. The only dessert on offer is a brownie, very richly chocolatey, so much so that two of us could barely finish one together (and we can eat a lot of chocolate!). As others mention, it's lovely to sit up on the balcony, and with the fans going it's pleasant too. It's very easy to spend too much time over dinner, on the other hand, it's not like there's much else to do at night in Mazunte, so why not keep sitting over a drink and dessert, enjoying the company and the vibe? I'm so glad that these two restaurateurs decided to relocate to Mazunte, thank you!
