Bocaciega en San Miguel de Allende

We had a really lovely evening here. A big thank you for this goes to our waiter Omar. He was so friendly and helpful; he helped us choosing dishes, patiently answered question we had and made sure to ask about food allergies as well. He didn’t leave us wishing for anything, as he went above and beyond, absolute great service! For drinks, we had the lychee sour cocktail and a cucumber cocktail. For food we had the Greek salad, grape-leaf dolmades with a mint yogurt sauce, ravioli filled with duck in a truffle sauce and the lamb gyros. We also got pita bread an a yogurt/ beetroot/ nut cream dish on the house. The food was absolutely amazing! The flavour combinations were really delicious. We also had the pistachio baklava and chocolate mouse, which were very yummy as well. No pictures of those, as we took them to go. The atmosphere of the place is great, too. Nice decorations, dimmed lights, we really loved it. It truly was a great evening through and through.

This was a recommendation by a trusted friend but was not prepared for the dining experience! From start to finish excellent, actually over the top. We had stuffed squash blossoms that were lightly battered more like a tempura that were the best I’ve ever eaten anywhere. Each dish was better then the next. The service was also excellent - fun restaurant with over the top food. A memorable meal - I would definitely not miss out eating here.
