Nino´s Pizza

Cozumel
20/03/2024: We ordered a vegetarian pizza to go. There was a bit of discussion as we wanted vegetables on all of the pizza but half the pizza without cheese. As we speak only pequino espanol, it took a bit to get this across but they were patient and made the pizza exactly as we asked. The pizza was fresh and hot out of the oven. It was still hot after we walked 20 minutes back to our waterfront lodging. The crust was crisp and flavorful. Toppings were fresh and plentiful. This was a great dinner supporting a local chain. We would definitely return for another pie on our next visit to the island. There was ample outside seating with plastic chairs and tables.

Riccio Di Mare

Los Cabos
01/02/2024: Riccio di Mare is worth the visit! What an incredible dinner experience we had the opportunity to enjoy. Authentic, absolutely fabulous Italian fare served by caring and attentive staff - the foundation for a memorable dining experience. If you happen to be in the Cabo San Luca area, do take the time to visit this restaurant located ocean front at the Solaz Resort. The dinner we enjoyed on Tuesday was so completely satisfying that we returned for our second visit tonight - and we were not disappointed. The “lasagna Tradicional de la Nonna” is simply the best lasagna I’ve had - an authentic Italian recipe, passed down from “la Nonna” to chef Emanuele whom we had the pleasure to meet. We also ordered a pasta carbonara that had me wishing carbs were good for me! Every bite drew an “oh my god this is delicious” - and it really was. The assortment of breads, served with an olive oil and balsamic dip, was the perfect way to begin the meal. As an appetizer, we repeated La Burrata served with heirloom tomatoes and full of freshness and taste. The attention to detail and personal touch displayed by Javier and Karla made us feel as though we truly were amongst friends. And the visit by Saul, one of the managers, was a classy touch. This team has something special going on. A great meal can be made forgettable if accompanied by average or mediocre service. And an average meal can be enhanced with great service. But when the two come together, as they do at Riccio di Mare, you’re in for a treat.
