
My husband and I used the hotel’s babysitting services and snuck over to the adult side to try out Sal (a perk of family concierge). We were able to order off most of the menu for free (included) but some of the nicer steaks and wines had a (totally reasonable) upcharge. We ordered a martini and margarita (both were excellent). We both had the smoked heirloom salad, which was good. My husband had the cowboy steak for about 2000 pesos and I had the New York (included). Both were delicious and cooked perfectly (medium rare). I’m not as discerning of a steak eater but my husband says the upcharge for the cowboy was well worth it. I thought my steak was perfectly delicious. The sides were unremarkable and could have been better (we had the potatoes, corn, and Brussels sprouts), but everything else made up for it. The restaurant itself was beautiful. Our table was private/quiet. Above all, the service was perfect. Our waiter (Eduardo) was great, attentive, and knowledgeable. The food came out perfectly timed. Highly recommend checking out Sal if you’re staying at this resort!
