The Seabass was incredible, so much flavour and cooked perfectly. Service was excellent.

The best part of the dining was the server, impeccable. He saved the night. The dishes were ok. Nothing to rave about, too worked in. The steak was australian wagu but felt it was more boiled then cooked, has a funky after taste. Beef tartar should not be on a deep fried hashbrown, it drowns the taste of beef and makes a supposedly fresh dish oily.

Outstanding meal! Everything was perfect - the food was excellent, very fresh, and presented as works of art. The staff was very friendly with unparalleled professionalism, great suggestions, and perfect timing. The ambiance was cozy, beautiful and authentic. As long as you don’t mind a very expensive meal, I would highly recommend it! It was an amazing meal! Thank you!

We recently stayed at the Waldorf for our 15th anniversary, a special occasion that we had been looking forward to. Unfortunately, our stay began with disappointment. Due to a wedding booking at the hotel, we were relocated to the all-inclusive property next door for four out of the five nights. While we appreciate that one night at the Waldorf was kept for us, the move did not align with our preferences, as we’re not fans of all-inclusive resorts or their focus on quantity over quality. Despite this setback, our dinner at Malpeque Restaurant during our one night at the Waldorf was a highlight. Rodrigo, the manager, was incredibly polite, professional, and accommodating. He personally apologized for the inconvenience caused by the rehearsal dinner happening that evening. Our server, Marco Tejada, also demonstrated exceptional professionalism and warmth, ensuring our experience was enjoyable. The food was outstanding and redeemed our initial impression to some extent. These two gentlemen truly made us feel valued and appreciated as guests, even under less-than-ideal circumstances. This was our third visit to the Waldorf, and while this experience didn’t meet our high expectations from previous stays, we are grateful for the efforts of Rodrigo and Marco. They deserve a 10/10 for their dedication and service, which helped salvage a trip that started on the wrong foot. Muchas Gracias

Our dinner was excellent at Malpeque! We stayed at the Waldorf Astoria and ate dinner at Malpeque twice during our stay. We had steak, and it was tender and delicious. The bread is fantastic, too. Marco was our server both nights, and he and his team were awesome!

The Waldorf Astoria in Cancun is an excellent and uniquely secluded hotel, and its signature restaurant, Malpeque, is simply fantastic! We are currently on vacation celebrating our son's birthday(8 years old) and experiencing the exceptional service offered by Waldorf. Our waiter, Jimin, was excellent at assisting us with ordering the specials, both cocktails and entrees, at Malpeque. He and his colleagues made sure everything was perfect during our dinner! The cuisine is outstanding, the ambiance is impossible to beat (alfresco with the sounds and views across the ocean), and the service was impeccable. Do not miss an opportunity to experience this jewel in Cancun!

We have been to this spot 4 times in the last year. It’s is so delicious and the food is curated with perceptible attention and skill. We are traveling foodies with a love of fine dining. Our favorite waiter Juan Luis (JL) is so welcoming, knowledgeable and skilled in his trade. We actually called ahead to request him at all of our following visits. Mexico is known for fabulous service, but this spot takes it to another level. Mentionable favorite dishes are the Corn soup, grilled Octopus, Colossal Shrimp, Grilled Lobster, Sea-bass, sesame encrusted asparagus and the cauliflower. The tables around us were also voicing equally delicious meals and commentary during our latest experience. The restaurant has a high-end mixology bar attached with a Vegas level cocktail selection and high-end spirits. This is casual fine dining at its finest.

Our server, Jaime, was incredible! The food and ambiance were perfect and we will remember the meal for a long time. What a lovely way to celebrate a birthday!

Wow the food at Malpeque is absolutely amazing and beautifully prepared!! We came to this restaurant several nights because of how much we enjoyed the food and service. We tried the fish of the day for 2 (sea bass), colossal shrimp, crispy asparagus, potato wedges, corn polenta and asparagus corn salad. Everything is absolutely delicious but the repeats for us were the crispy asparagus and the colossal shrimp. So so yummy. Aside from the food, the service and hospitality are phenomenal. Jaime is the kindest, sweetest, most thoughtful server we’ve ever had. We even requested him as our server multiple times because of how warm and kind he is. We enjoyed spending time with him. Rodrigo, the restaurant manager, is also incredibly kind and thoughtful. He cares very much about the customers’ experience and makes sure that everyone feels special and cared for. What a wonderful experience - we will certainly be back for the food and service at Malpeque! Huge shoutout again to Jaime and Rodrigo!

My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous meal at Malpeque. Marco was our waiter and he was so helpful, kind and thoughtful. He made sure our experience was perfect! The food was wonderful. We enjoyed the sea bass, shrimp and yellow fin tuna. It was a very memorable dinner and will we absolutely be dining here again soon!

¡Jaime, Jaime, Jaime! ¡Qué joya! Nos alojamos en el complejo 5 noches y cenamos aquí 3. Conocimos a Jaime la primera noche y tuvimos una conexión inmediata. Él hizo nuestras noches hermosas y se hizo un lugar en todos nuestros corazones. ¡Qué recuerdos tan maravillosos! La última noche que cenamos allí, habíamos ido a pescar en alta mar antes. El maestro chef preparó nuestro pescado de 3 maneras diferentes, hizo guarniciones, ensaladas y salsas para acompañarlo. ¡Absolutamente increíble! Teníamos una habitación privada y un miembro de nuestro grupo nos preguntó si teníamos la oportunidad de poner música diferente. No 3 minutos después, trajeron un altavoz grande para que pudiéramos conectarnos por Bluetooth. ¡Me pisotearon! ¡Cuando digo que van más allá, no hay rival! Nos encanta todo el personal y volveremos! We dined at Malpeque twice during our stay. Juan Luis was an excellent server - attentive, warm personality and knowledgeable of the menu and preparation. He even provided me with a recipe for my favorite item on the menu (Beef Tartar). The menu was creative and all of the dishes were prepared and presented with the utmost care. Everything we tried was beyond delicious.

Fantastic meal. We arrived on the restaurants 2nd anniversary. They offered the main menu, but we chose the two special tasting menus, one vegan and one not. The dishes were incredible. Very creative. Served with style and panache. Both the chef and the manager came out and spoke with us. A truly unique experience. We loved it.

We had a beautiful meal outside. The polenta was some of the best I’ve ever had. I’m not a vegetarian, but the vegetable dishes were the highlight for me. UNBELIEVABLY good!!! And the presentation of each of the dishes is like edible art!

From the moment we walked into the resort, we felt at ease. The restaurant staff were amazing, including our waiter, Juan Luis. They were attentive, explained each dish as it came out, and went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied. The food was fabulous and fresh as well. An overall great dining experience.

The team is very attentive and the food is delicious. But it can be a bit hard for vegetarians to find something else than side dishes. But besides that we don’t have anything to complain about and really enjoyed our stay.

Delicious food and wonderful service! My husband and I got full on the seafood platter for 2, which was just an appetizer and we ate that with the Zucchini salad and we split a bowl of the sea urchin soup! Wow! So good! We got stuffed with that! I had a mock tail called Revenge and that was so refreshing. My hubby had a a delicious glass of white wine from New Zealand and he was a happy camper.😁 Our waiter Sergio surprised us with a complimentary dessert for our 25th anniversary.
