Waldorf Astoria is the top of the top! The jewel of Cancun surely lives up to its name. Chaya restaurant is no exception. The dining experience is amazing. We as a family ate breakfast here every Morning- food is delicious and fresh. Nothing is overlooked. The wait staff top notch. Anything you wish for will be done We also had a family dinner at Chaya. Again excellent service by Samuel. The food is absolutely amazing. Pride is taken to ensure that everyone is happy and everything is perfect. Thank you restaurant manager Alain for a perfect evening.

Visited in August for our family vacation . Had breakfast here every morning. Can’t speak highly enough about the staff and waiters . Adrian , Manuel , Daniel were all amazing . They were attentive and gave us great service all week . I also want to give a shout out to the amazing Chef - Chef Rocio , she made amazing food daily for us . I would definitely stop by for breakfast here on your stay .

Chaya is THE place to be from breakfast to dinner. The American breakfast with a choice of one cold drink and one hot drink, one cold and one hot appetizer, one pastry basket (French croissant, brioche and bread), a hot main specialty dish and one side of avocado or potato or bacon or bean… nice presentation and Delicious Delicious We enjoyed the pasta night dinner on Wednesday. Omg the sourdough bread!!! So good; crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Ravioli, risotto, spaghetti and fettuccine 😋 The food is awesome “Bravo Chef!” but the service is more than perfect! Thanks to the whole team from hostess, bar, the service. Daniel, Victor, Felipe, Alberto, Laura…and more ( sorry if I forgot your name). “Merci pour votre attention à notre égard”🙏 Family Hong

One of the best meals we have ever eaten. Gorgeous and unique presentations, delicious bites, gracious hosts and server, and hats off to the chef(s) who should definitely be award-winning notoriety! From introduction to the restaurant to the final coffee- Chaya was a brilliant experience that will be remembered for years! The yellowfin appetizer, the kale avocado salad and our individual entrees (ribeye and salmon) were incredible culinary delights! May we be so fortunate to return again soon! We dined at Chaya for both dinner and breakfast!

Breakfast here is amazing and the service is even better. Daniel was our server multiple times for breakfast and he was incredibly helpful and accommodating. I definitely recommend Chaya for breakfast and dinner.

Breakfast 🥞 was absolutely amazing! We came here for the days we stayed. Our waiter Manuel was attentive and made excellent recommendations. You can tell he knows his stuff. This place is a must !!

Very exclusive restaurant experience. Friendly and responsive staff. Fantastic food…but Alberto was the most attentive and friendly server we have ever had. We discussed the events of our day (a trip to Tulum) and he shared a ton of history and personal experience with us…he was careful to explain every menu item (trust me, most of them require explanation!) and gave great recommendations based on what we expressed interest in. Alberto was absolutely the best part of our experience at Chaya. We started with the pea soup…it was very tasty! Then on to a calamari appetizer which was served over a green salad with a ginger sauce that was one of my favorite parts of the meal…then on to the Wagu Ribeye which was prepared perfectly. The steak butter pairing is absolutely fantastic! Then on to desert… this is where the “but…” comes in…I feel with some of the menu items the chef is just trying too hard to prove something. The menu is a bit hard to decipher, and items that sound familiar come to the table totally unrecognizable. The modern term is “de-constructed.” Maybe I’m just a simple man that likes simple food…but when I order key lime pie…I expect a piece of pie, that taste like lime Custard… I’ve attached a photo of what I received. It was a sugar lemon filled with lemon sorbet on top of meringue. If you’d called it anything else I wouldn’t have been disappointed with the desert…in fact, it was an absolutely incredible Presentation and flavor… But it is NOT key lime pie! So, you see what I mean…we’re trying to reinvent the wheel with some of this stuff. Now, that said…I mentioned to our fabulous server, Alberto, that sometimes all this fancy stuff just gets the best of me and I’d just like a piece of chocolate cake….we laughed and never thought anything more of it…then, as we were leaving the restaurant he and his manager caught us on the way out the door…with a piece of chocolate cake boxed to take with us! Overall, very pleased with our experience at Chaya, but without Alberto it would not have been nearly as enjoyable.

Today was our first time eating breakfast in the Waldorf Astoria Cancun. The food at the Chaya restaurant was exceptional and especially the service. Our waiter, Adrian Yam, was very attentive to us. Making sure our requests were met well. He was a very patient and caring waiter taking our orders in detail and making sure we felt welcomed. We will be coming back again! Thank you Adrian.

The Chaya restaurant’s food is every bit as good as the service you receive, which is outstanding!! In our six day stay we ate at Chaya everyday , and every waiter we had, from Roberto to Sammy to Adrian and the rest, all were outstanding at delivering 1st class service and food to match. In addition, Mr Eric Porter, the leader of the dining areas, personally visited our table, spoke with us for several minutes and offered my wife & I some delicious dinner drinks. What a treat from Eric!! Simply a first class facility with service members to match !,

During our memorable vacation at the beautiful Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Cancun, we had the pleasure to enjoy Chaya for breakfasts and dinners. Chaya boasts an inviting and elegant ambiance. The tasteful decor, and comfortable seating create a perfect setting for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. Breakfasts are outstanding, offering all the favorites you can expect in a 5 stars hotel. The servers are attentive, friendly and efficient. Dinners are excellent as well. The menu offers a large variety of dishes that caters to every need. We particularly loved the salad “Frisee with egg and lardons”, the fresh seabass and the bone ribeye perfectly cooked medium rare. Among all the very nice staff, a very special thanks to Laura, the charming hostess, our server Samuel and particularly Alain ( for “Alain Delon” ) the manager who added the special plus which makes the experience even better! Chaya is part of the reasons we will be happy to return to the Waldorf Astoria Cancun in the future!

We went daily for breakfast and also had dinner here. The food was excellent and the service amazing! They would prepare special orders in advance for us. I would highly recommend!

We ate here each morning of our stay and once for dinner. As with the rest of the resort, the staff is unfailingly attentive and the food is very good. They have a solid selection of standard US breakfast options, but the chilaquiles were our favorite and the spectacular house-made hot sauce that I will dream about.

Are at Chaya every morning for breakfast. Food and service were outstanding! They were always attentive and timely with food, drinks, etc. Highly recommend!

We spent only three days at the WA but this was our go to spot for a very delicious breakfast and an even better dinner. Service was friendly and attentive and they made my last night birthday dinner a dinner to remember. Everyone was extremely friendly and professional but Dmitri went above and beyond. 5 stars !

We had an exceptional breakfast! Juan was an incredible server and made our experience five star. The food was amazing. Well prepared to perfection. The fruit was fresh and the presentation and flavor were exactly what you expect from a Waldorf hotel.

Where to begin?! We ate breakfast here all 6 mornings of our stay, and had dinner here twice. I cannot give this restaurant enough praise. From the check in staff, to our servers, to the management team, just fantastic people, service, and food. I loved the French toast (I ordered it 5/6 mornings) for breakfast, and I ordered the salmon both nights we had dinner here, it was just that good. All of the staff was phenomenal, but a huge shout out to Dmitri and Reynaldo when we were there on January 18. They went above and beyond to engage us in conversation, and they were so kind. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit, whether or not you’re staying at the Waldorf.

My gf and I had breakfast every morning at the Chaya. The food was amazing. My favorite was the french toast coupled with the avocado toast. My gf fell in love with the pancakes. Our server was Luis O. He made our experience extra special with his positive energy and endless smiles. Thank you so much LUIS and Chaya for being so accommodating. We hope to be back soon.

We stayed at the Waldorf for five nights and had the pleasure of having breakfast at Chaya every morning! We also enjoyed dinner here one night. The service was incredible and our favorite server, Daniel Martinez, took amazing care of us during every visit. He was attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations. My favorite breakfast items were the beautiful fresh fruit, the watermelon, the chilaquiles, the chorizo from Valladolid, and the avocado toast. Everything was delicious!

Super breakfast and phenomenal service here at Chaya. If people knew how good this was, they would probably travel across Cancun to try this. The other reviews are legit and speak to the level of service and top tier quality of the breakfast. Highly recommend!

Daniel was so awesome and attentive to our needs and the celebration of my wife’s Birthday. The Resort in all was breath taking from the time you walk in to the time you walk to the beach the views the service has been hands down one of the best experiences I have had. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend, The Waldorf Astoria Cancún!

We ate breakfast at Chaya every morning of our vacation. It was the perfect start to the day. Our servers were all so attentive and kind. Everything that we tried was truly amazing! Our favorites for breakfast were the mezcal French toast, the spicy chillaquiles, and sides of ham and potatoes. We also ate dinner at Chaya for 2 nights. The bone-in ribeye is very impressive. Thanks again to the amazing waitstaff for a wonderful experience.

La preparación y presentación de los alimentos no pasa por alto ningún detalle. Sabroso con porciones que sacian sin ser demasiado. El equipo es atento, conocedor y hospitalario, especialmente Miguel, Manuel y Victoria que nos ayudaron durante más de un día. Si tiene el estatus Hilton Diamond, el desayuno de cortesía ofrece el menú completo y es un beneficio fantástico. La tostada francesa es imprescindible.

We dined here for breakfast each day of our trip to Waldorf Cancun. The food preparation and presentation leaves no detail overlooked. Tasty with portions that satisfy without being too much. The team is attentive knowledgeable and hospitable, from Victoria at the desk to Miguel and Manuel who waited on us. They remembered our names and orders and made it a point to spend time with us and ensure everything was perfect while sharing with us sone of their special ways to enjoy the menu items. If you have Hilton Diamond status the complimentary breakfast offers the full menu and is a fantastic perk. We regret not having time to try it out for dinner.

We loved Sernado's service at breakfast, he seemed very genuine. Susanne, that's a great manager, she always makes sure everything is perfect, not only at this restaurant but at others also. I really like the way she works, always in the background without being intrusive. Breakfast is alcarte only, not buffet. While this is a bit disappointing, it is also a matter of personal preference. My family, including my kids, loves the combination of buffets and a la carte options. Many of the best hotels we have visited around the world offer this service. We had more or less everything on the menu, but not the mexican breakfast options. The infuzed water melonsallad and avo toast are awesome. I'd recommend removing the sweet syrup. Also, the pancakes and waffles were great. For the whipped cream, I'd say it's not whipped cream. It's more like vanilla custard. Maybe this is the difference between Europe and America, but in Europe we don't add sugar to everything, especially whipped cream We'd prefer a bigger selection of fruit rather than a pre-made fruit platter. Sugar-free yogurt and sourdough bread with all kinds of toppings. This breakfast is very nicely presented, tastes good, but we have a different breakfast preference. You will love what you eat, don't worry. The only thing is that the pastries, especially the french one, did not meet our European standards. My kids particularly missed fresh mangoes and pineapples. Once again, this is a luxury problem, but we also chose a luxury resort to stay in Dinner: So far, we've had one dinner at Chaya, and yes, the prices are sky high. Not even Michelin stars restaurants in Northern Europe can match them. The meals we had during their Italian night, however, were excellent. The chicken served with the pasta pesto meal was excellent. I also recommend the crab Risotto. I only have one complaint: the kids' fries at lunch and dinner were undercooked. At lunch, their fish was excellent, but at dinner, it was a bit dry. They improved the next day. Compared to Conrad Tulum, where we previously stayed, no meals met our expectations. We stayed 8 nights at the Conrads, and the impression of trying but now excelling the food was the same every night

Gran servicio, presentación increíble. Pedí productos de desayuno muy típicos y no esperaba lo exclusivos y mucho más sabrosos que podían ser. No soy un gran amante del desierto para desayunar, pero nunca se me ha derretido una tostada francesa en la boca. También recomiendo encarecidamente la ensalada de sandía. ¡Increíble!

Muy buen desayuno, pésima cena. Las cenas eran muy caras, y una cena promedio sin alcohol costaba más de $ 45 por plato o más antes de impuestos y propinas. Esto sería totalmente aceptable si la comida fuera memorable, pero en el mejor de los casos fuera de calidad promedio. Los platos se ven mucho mejor de lo que saben.
