01/08/2024: Buen servicio. Excelente comida. Recomiendo aguachile de camaron y pulpo al ajillo. Solo considera que es un lugar al aire libre.

19/02/2024: 13/2/24 Wednesday late dinner Note: I think this place has moved round the corner to 25AveNte entre 2&4 in the last few years. It's confusing but I think I am reviewing the same place as name is very similar! I have submitted a correction to TA (somehow it located it eight streets north west!). We three middle aged guys from London had arrived back in PdC after over two weeks of travelling further south and in Belize. We had just been on the local beach so I wanted round after checking out restaurants in the backstreet of the south ADO terminal. I found this and it looked quite busy and appealing. I returned to the Casa Palma wifi to research this fish restaurant on TA and Gglmps. I could not find it on the former so this is a shorter review than usual. I saw it closed at 22:00 so we managed to get there at 21:10 to find the kitchen closing at 21:30. We were therefore a bit more rushed than we wanted to be on our last dinner of the holiday. We ordered two litre classic micheladas (110), a Bohemia Oscura beer (50), two fish fillets in sauce (199) and a medium shrimp ceviche (235). The music was Mexican from a television showing classic Mexican party songs. We had to turn off a hurricane force fan next to us as the wind chill was great. The drinks came quickly and were delicious along with a basket of tortilla chips. The fish dishes came unexpectedly quickly, but were piping hot, very fresh fish (red snapper the attentive waiter said) and quite generous with al dente boiled vegetables and a scoop of flavoured rice. My tequila sauce was very tasty, my friend's garlic and oil was too and very garlicky. The ceviche was fine but not spice. There were no proper spicy sauces on the table. Maybe we should have asked as it has been an option elsewhere. We were also presented with some packs of Saladitas, our first of the holiday! The spare ones were kept for the airport. Another group of tourists arrived just before the kitchen closed and were served equally quickly. They actually left before us, as did some locals propping up the bar I had seen on my exploration trip over an hour earlier. The printed bill was a correct 903. We paid by card and left a 50 tip. We were the last ones out! We left sated and happy to the carnival in the main square.

02/08/2024: Sin duda uno de mi lugares favoritos. La calidad y sazón de los alimentos constantes. Mi favorito quesito cabanna y la tostada a los 7 chiles. Tienen variedad para los que nno comen mariscos. El agua de coco cremosa o natural. Y no pueden faltar los deliciosos postres los mejores de la zona me atrevo a decir. El servicio impecable.

01/10/2018: He ido varias veces al Cabanna con amigos y me encantan las margaritas! Las tostadas y el tiradito de atun o salmon, muy rico. Es un ambiente muy agradable para pasar un jueves o viernes por la noche con los amigos. También he ido en plan familiar los domingos y ahi un poco diferente, me gustaria que ofrecieran más caldos/sopas y que la comida esté mejor sazonada. La diferencia está en las salsas: si al taco o tostada no le agregas nada, el sabor está un poco soso. En mi última visita evité el picante. Pedí un taco de pulpo/ camaron y se me hizo un poco salado. El vampiro de pastor sin sabor, dejé la mitad. El agua de piña con alfalfa sabia a que la piña ya estaba pasada. El servicio es muy bueno cualquier dia/hora, el gerente siempre está al pendiente y los meseros se aseguran de que tu orden éste correcta y en tiempo. El restaurante es bueno y rico. Lo prefiero como lugar para tomar unos tragos y botanear.

28/10/2023: Este lugar es horrible, fuimos para cenar y fue la peor experiencia que tanto yo como mis amigos hemos tenido. La comida estaba malísima y como si llevara cocinada varios días. Por si esto no es poco, el dueño nos intento colar la propina de 10% en la cuenta y aunque nos dejó no darla, al despedirnos nos solto " Adiós y gracias por la "propina" de una manera arrogante. No repetiría ni aunque me pagarán, sin duda el peor sitio que he ido ha comer en mi vida.

05/02/2024: Los años buenos ya pasaron. Desde hace muchos años voy a este restaurante con mi familia y poco a poco he visto como sus platillos se reducen en cantidad y sabor. El Fuerte era la cocina caliente a mi parecer, pero cada vez que voy me sirven un plato con menos proteína y mas guarnición. Si es rico pero es poco lo que sirven por el costo.
