Sunken Bar at The Cape - Thompson Hotel en Los Cabos

We came to the Sunken Bar in the mornings to watch the early morning surfers and have coffee/tea. The staff was always very nice and attentive. Huge shoutout to Mari Carmen, Mario, Daniela, Alexis, Miguel and Oscar. They made our stay at The Cape very special. Hopefully will be back soon!

We had an amazing experience at the sunken bar, great craft cocktails and delicious food! The guacamole and burger had so much flavor! We especially enjoyed our servers octavio and Daniella, They always made sure we were taken care of! We can’t wait to come back!!

Amazing food, ambiance, and service at the sunken bar! Octavio, Carmen and Mario provided fantastic service. They took such great care of us, best experience at the Thompson hotel. Their kindness made our trip so memorable; very attentive, remembered our order from previous nights. Loved the Korean chicken and dirty rice too. Thank you!

We had a great time at Sunken bar! We live close to the hotel, so we are kinda regulars now. We always go to Valeria (our favorite bartender) she makes great drinks, great service and we can also have great conversations with her, she’s just the best! Go try their carajillos with the complementary peanuts, that’s our favorite combo!

Gran bar con personal excepcional. Francisco fue maravilloso: amable, atento y conocedor. Se tomó el tiempo para educarnos sobre las diferencias entre Sotol, Mezcal y Tequila y nos preparó bebidas realmente excelentes. Carmen, Valeria, María y Octavio son servidores increíbles que hicieron todo lo posible para ayudarnos. ¡Altamente recomendado!

I had the best sandwich and tocos here at the Sunken bar. Octavio was our waiter and he gave us the service we had our whole 8 day long vacation.

Este lugar es una estafa. Las bebidas eran realmente buenas, PERO caras. Pedimos 2 martinis espresso y 1 agua, ¡el total fue de $ 62! Agregaron un cargo por servicio del 15% a pesar de que nos sentamos en el bar. Íbamos a cenar al Manta pero los precios eran ridículos. Camine por la carretera hacia la Puerta Vieja y disfrute de una cena y bebidas increíbles por la mitad del costo.

I took the mixology class by Valeria at the Sunken Bar. The staff had a bar top table set up with mixers and bar tools. Valeria was on time, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. She informed me that I would be learning to make 3 cocktails and would provide the recipes. She also explained how to use some of the bar tools, how to shake a cocktail with ice, and gave me the flexibility to make my own creation. This was my first mixology class and I found it not only very informative but enjoyed the delicious cocktails as well.

We stopped by for a quick bite to eat and a glass of wine after having checked in to the Cape and after a long day of travel. The service was incredible! First off, THE VIEW! I absolutely cannot believe it. On top of that, Paco, our waiter, was so nice and really sweet. He was very friendly and my husband and I loved getting to know him. The SUSHI! I’m from Los Angeles which has incredible sushi and this may have rivaled the best of the best. This is a great spot if you’re staying at the hotel for a happy hour beverage and pre-dinner snack!

No puedo imaginar un lugar mejor para tomar una copa y contemplar el océano Pacífico durante horas. Tiene un precio elevado: las bebidas no son baratas, pero casi vale la pena.

¡Tuvimos muchas bebidas y bocadillos excelentes aquí durante nuestra estadía!

¡Maravilloso servicio! Delicioso desayuno ranchero. No hay problema en permitirme disfrutar de la vista durante un par de horas.

The sunken bar has been our favorite spot of tour stay at The Cape! The staff at the sunken bar have been so friendly and welcoming. We have had the best coffee in the mornings, followed by the best cocktails with an amazing view. The Paloma’s and Bloody Maria’s are our favorites, but be sure to let the bartenders recommend some new cocktails as well. We could sit there chatting with the bar staff all day! Isla, Julio, Judith and Javier have greeted us every day with smiles and have made our stay so memorable! We cannot say enough great things about them! We wish we could stay longer to enjoy more mornings with them!

¡Tuve el mejor café con leche helado de vainilla que he probado jamás! ¡Pide que Julio te haga el café! ¡¡Él es increíble!! Lo vi preparar tantas bebidas bonitas, pero yo estaba allí para tomar un café con leche. Literalmente tuvo mucho cuidado al preparar mi bebida.
