Comida deliciosa y bien preparada…

We got there at 4:30 pm on a Saturday thinking we would beat the rush. We did, but there was still a 25-minute wait. They were already having to wait outside by the time we were seated. Despite the crowd, we were not hurried to eat or leave the table at all.
The food was good, but a bit more spicy than we expected. I had the octopus, which was served sizzling on a hot iron platter. Nice presentation, but the net effect was that the bottom surface touching the iron ended up overcooked and tough.
The other shrimp dish was likewise a bit overspiced. Perhaps to be expected as we were some of the few gringos there, even with the influx of eclipse tourists.
For dessert, we had a "Tsunami", which we had seen delivered to another table. Supposedly a Mexican version of tiramisu, it is layered cake and filling, topped by "Bailey's"(it wasn't), cocoa powder, and cinnamon held in a plastic sleeve which is lifted off and floods the dessert and plate at tableside for a very nice tsunami presentation.
The place was good, but we weren't overwhelmed by our first dining experience in Mazatlan.

An amazing restaurant that offers remarkable service. There must have been at least 25 wait staff and maybe 4 floor walkers supervising the service. Food is extraordinary. There is often a waiting line but it moves quickly.
The price is reasonable considering the overall quality of meals and service.
