Alfresco Trattoria en Puerto Vallarta

Los platillos totalmente decepcionantes, la lasaña fría en el centro , el fetuchini fungi sabía viejo y la pasta no estába al diente, la ensalada capres tenía un terrible aspecto, comida nada recomendable , el servicio es lento, el lugar luce muy lindo

Extremely disappointed in this experience last night. We arrived pretty late, just as the kitchen was closing, but they allowed us to order. That was very kind, and the staff were all very kind and pleasant throughout. But the food and drink were the problem. We asked to see the wine list, and instead they brought out two bottles that they suggested...a French Poully Fuise (sp?) and a Cakebread Chardonnay. I know my wine well enough to know that both a $120 and a $200 (USD) dollar bottle were insane to be offered as if that was all they had (I wonder if they expect people to just charge their room and not notice the cost until they check out). Finally brought a wine list where we ordered a far more reasonable bottle that was still overpriced at about $50. It came and was litterally warm and undrinkable. It took 20 min. and two buckets of ice to chill it to a drinkable point. Then the food came - dinner rolls stale and tasteless (Walmart bread right up the street has far better for only 10 pesos a loaf) - 6 coconut shrimp were okay but overpriced. A shrimp bisque was barely lukewarm and sent back and cancelled. The Tuna carpaccio was fresh but fairly tasteless. We are big Marriott fans and lifetime gold Bonvoy members...but this Sheraton left us dazed - it was so bad for so much money $94 USD for an appetizer, main course, and bottle of wine (they didn't charge for the soup).

We love this place. We have a timeshare at the Sheraton Buganvilias and so we go here at least twice during the week, twice a year. Although reservations are necessary it is always a great experience. The food is outstanding and the service is excellent. My husband keeps saying that it's too bad the servers in the US aren't this good anymore.
